Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PrepaJob ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered job application tool. You can reach us at hello@jobify.app.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following information when you use PrepaJob:

  • Account data: email address and password hash (via Supabase Auth), or your Google OAuth identity if you sign in with Google.
  • Resume and career documents: files you upload (DOCX, PDF, PPTX, video) to generate your candidate profile.
  • Job descriptions: text or URLs you paste or upload to tailor your resume.
  • Usage data: credit balances and anonymised request logs for debugging and billing.
  • Payment data: Stripe handles all payment processing. We receive a Stripe customer ID and your email — we never see your card number or billing address.

    • 3. How we use your data

    We use your data solely to provide the PrepaJob service:

  • Your resume and documents are sent to Google Gemini (our AI provider) to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation.
  • Your email is used to identify your account and to send Stripe payment receipts.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the features described above.

    • 4. Who we share your data with

    We share your data only with the following sub-processors, strictly to operate the service:

  • Google Gemini — AI inference for resume tailoring, cover letter generation, and interview preparation.
  • SerpAPI / TheirStack — job listing aggregation (only your search terms are sent, not your resume).
  • Supabase — authentication and credit balance storage.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Railway — hosting infrastructure where your files are stored.
  • Vercel — frontend hosting.

    • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

    5. Data storage and retention

    Your files (resume, cover letters, tailored resumes, interview data) are stored on a private Railway volume isolated per user account. Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data or your full account at any time from the Settings page.


    When you delete your account, all files are permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours. Your Supabase auth record is deleted immediately.

    6. Your rights

    You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you — contact us at support@jobify.app.
  • Delete your data — use the "Delete all my data" option in Settings to wipe all your files while keeping your account.
  • Delete your account — use the "Delete account" option in Settings to permanently remove your account and all associated data.
  • Data portability — your tailored resumes and cover letters can be downloaded at any time from the app.
  • Withdraw consent — you may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

    • For EU/EEA residents, these rights are provided under the GDPR. For California residents, these rights are provided under the CCPA.

    7. Cookies

    PrepaJob uses only essential, functional cookies:

  • A Supabase session cookie to keep you logged in.

    • We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or analytics services.

    8. Security

    All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Files are stored on a private volume not exposed to the public internet. Authentication tokens are verified server-side on every request. We follow industry-standard security practices and review our infrastructure regularly.

    9. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 7 days before significant changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
